So, my boyfriend downloaded the Infamous demo for the PS3 while I was over at his place, and I thought it was pretty awesome. I love the concept of this game, so I decided to do some art.
I told you guys I've been wanting to get more into digital painting, so...

This was entirely drawn in Corel Painter X, although a few color touch-ups here and there were done in Photoshop. I love, love, LOVE Corel's Wet Detail brush, it's awesome.
I'm happy with the way Cole turned out, aside from a few minor mistakes. I also couldn't get his left wrist and hand right, so I just cut them off, lmao. His right hand also appears a little odd to me; I have difficulties with drawing hands, so, that's definately something I need to practice on.

The background, well, what can I say... It was pretty much rushed for the most part, but I think I like the effect it gives. I got really lazy and impatient when I got to the right part of the image - the burning part of the city, so that's why it's lacking some detail.
I tried to make the image look just like the actual image as much as possible. The buildings were boring to draw, kind of, especially all those windows. *snorts*
Also, my hand was hurting and not to mention that the nib of my tablet pen is really, really worn out. But hey, I've had this tablet for about four, five years now, I think, so I can't complain, I suppose.

I used a reference for this, of course. One of the game wallpapers.

I might do some more game art soon... Since it's fun. I'm not sure what game yet, though. We'll see. Exams first, now. Three more to go.
